Olympics and how they so close, Ladies Day at the Races, Little J's shoes

Hi!

So its been a little while since the last entry. About 9 days worth of tweets to catch up on....
The London 2012 Olympics sadly came to a close recently and Jayne got to go to the Closing ceremony, but more later...

As mentioned before as part of their roles as Olympic Ambassadors for Team GB, Jayne and Chris were given a team to mentor which was the Women's Rhythmic Gymnastics Team.  The girls had a hard run in the lead up to the Olympics but the girls got there in the end! They did well making Team GB proud.  Chris got some ideas for Props Week by watching the girls compete.  Personally I would to love to know how Chris' mind works for choreography.

Speaking of Chris,  he seems to be doing well after his shoulder surgery.  He thanked everyone for the well wishes and said he was feeling a little frustrated. In last day or so he has gotten back on the ice for the first time since the surgery by the sounds of it?

Chris must been missed being the Olympics after tweeting a pic of a stadium in the States.... "Not quite Olympic Park"

Jayne got to be a special guest at the Brighton Races on Ladies Day. She and her friends had a lovely day.

Now here is where our favourite pair are close!! Jayne got to go to an Olympic Football (soccer). She sent a pic before the game.
While Chris a few hours later was at a football game of his own! It was his son's. So close aren't they?

Frankie was tweeted by Jayne that day she went to that Olympic football game.  Frankie little did we know at the time was most likely there for rehearsals for the closing ceremony which her and Daniel Whiston (both pros from Dancing on Ice) were involved as part of the skating nuns group.  Jayne congratulated Frankie on the performance after it.

Jayne was at the Closing Ceremony in the stadium,  sadly Chris couldn't go being in the USA.  But Jayne did tweet through out the night, saying the atmosphere was amazing.  Chris tweeted a pic of the sunrise in Boulder wishing everyone back in the UK a great closing ceremony.

Here is Jayne enjoying her self at the closing....

Jayne and Chris replied to an armed solider Emma who they met at the Olympic Park for all the work that she and the armed soldiers where doing at the Olympic Park.

Jayne little girl, Jess has popped up again on her mummy's twitter with an other pair of shoes!

Her Aunty Karen liked them it seems asking if she could borrow them just like she does with her Mum's shoes. Got love friends with the same shoe size, ;-) can always "borrow"

So lots happening for the Wonder Twins during the last of the Olympics !!
Till next time x

London 2012 Week 1 and Shoulder Operation.

Hi ya TnDWorldFans,
Lots of things has been happening this week for Jayne and Chris with the Olympics I don't even know how I am going to write this blog entry but here it goes!!

So last entry we ended up with Jayne and Chris at the road race.  Here is a great pic from the day. I loved it so much its become our twitter profile pic.
That night our two favourite Olympians met up with Team GB member Archer Amy Oliver.  I'm not sure how Amy went the next.  But I hope she went well.

Here is some other shots of Jayne and Chris with other people they have met.  Sorry I can't tell you who they are exactly..... this is mainly when they were in the middle of London at a BT London Live event.

Will @torvillanddean
And here they are on the BT London Live Stage in Hyde Park!! BIG huge thank you and credit to @ptdrobbie for the pics.

Jayne and Chris were out and about the next day again doing all things Olympics as part of their roles as Olympic ambassadors for Team GB.  We Karen (Barber) joined them for the day tweeting this pic..."Is today's uniform red or blue, I am on the fence x" What would you say it was?
They bumped in someone who used to work on Dancing on Ice...
That day Jayne and Chris were seen at the Hockey, Team GB vs Japan. Score 4-0.  At half time they were interviewed by @abigriffiths1 (Abi Griffiths) Team GB won the game.
Being interviewed at the Hockey. Photo by @Faulks9. Thanks!

They were later spotted around the Olympic park... Jayne is in this one. You can just see her hand and foot behind Chris!

Other day and back at Olympic park. Chris thought Jayne was spotting some new head fashion! lol! New trend for the English Summer?

Jayne, Chris and Karen seen the diving this week, watching Tom Daley and Pete Waterfield in the 10-meter synchronised diving - Males.  Sadly the boys didn't medal but they did extremely well because for the most of it they were up there, almost in gold medal position. One wrong dive pushed them down the ladder.  Credit to the original owner!
Early start for our favourite pair the following day as they had an interview on Daybreak.  They talked about their roles as Olympic ambassadors and what they thought of the Olympics so far....
Jayne showed off her patriotic nails! Go Team GB!! They look fab. I hear the foil nail wraps that she uses are selling so much! Check out @HNDNails for more info and this site. http://www.nail-wrap.co.uk/shop/product/nail-rock-union-jack-red

Afterwards they went and have some coffee and tea. Very cute pic of Jayne and if you look carefully at her phone on the table you can see she has been checking out our tweets!
Lots of fans got to meet the famous duo that day as Jayne and Chris made an appearance at local Next store in London signing Team GB scarfs as part of their Olympic roles. It was great seeing some of your tweets saying how excited you were to meet them and get your scarfs signed. So wish I was there with you!!

Jayne, Chris and Karen were lucky enough to go to the British Olympic Association Reception. They met the head of the London Olympic Committee, Sebastian Coe ( an Olympian himself 1980, 1984)
They got to catch up with Opera singer Katherine Jenkins who performed for them on Dancing on Ice in 2010 with Andrew Lyod Webber.
Princess Anne was at the reception that night. That day Zara Phillips, the princess' daughter had won her silver medal, the first Olympic medal for Great Britain in equestrian in 40 years since her husband, so it had been a very special and proud day.

We found out Chris had to have surgery this week on his shoulder. :( Many well wishes were sent.  Jayne thanked everyone for all the messages and said all went well.  Chris was just very sleepy.  The next day Chris tweeted a picture of his arm in a sling and him holding Starbucks *$ in his other hand say " Thats. Better." We wish Chris a very speedy recovery cause if you think about it auditions for the next series for Dancing on Ice would be happening soon or happening now wouldn't they??

Seems Chris has gone back home to the USA has in the last day he tweeted a picture of watching the Olympics at the airport...
Also as I been writing this blog entry (which is taking so much longer than I thought) Chris tweeted a pic of a brown bear "Barney" in a pond behind his house.
Barney's back in my pond
Jayne also tweeted from the Olympics again today watching the Women's Tennis.
So heaps has been happening this week for Torvill and Dean! Can't believe I got through it all.  Bed time 2am!!

Tweet and Blog ya soon,
Kim
P.S We trying to come up with a creative name for us Torvillanddean fans. What do you think?

The greatest birthday party ever for Chris- Olympic Ceremony and Day 1

PARTY TIME!!!! WOO HOO!!
(27/7/12) Yesterday a great day for our two favourite skaters.... Chris' 54th Birthday and the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Game!

As Olympic Ambassadors for Team GB, Jayne and Chris were at the Opening Ceremony for the Games.  The first tweet of the day was from Jayne to Chris (strange when tweet each other using the same account!)  Jayne had organised a party for that night ;) lol!

Chris later on thanked everyone for all the birthday wishes we tweeted him....

Jayne and Chris tweeted a number of pictures throughout the night.....
"Mates" - @torvillanddean
Off to the Olympics- @torvillanddean
The Opening Ceremony was out of this world! A real party!!! What a day for Chris' Birthday to fall on.  Seems a few of you #TnDWorldFans and some of the athletes (I know 2 Aussie Athletes do! Water Polo and Hockey) share birthdays with Mr Dean.

"Inside" - @torvillanddean
The opening showed cased United Kingdom in all in its glory.  Going through its history from green meadows of the English country to the modern day era celebrating the music of Great Britain.

Jayne tweeted a picture of the birthday boy enjoying his party ;) lol -  "CHRIS enjoying the opening! Jx" @torvillanddean.  Seems like he was enjoying himself.  I wonder what it was like for Jayne and Chris to be there as Olympians.  It would bought back like great memories such as Chris carrying the British flag at the 1984 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Thanks @buffycar for tweeting this! I couldn't find it x
A some of the highlights include the "Queen" jumping into the stadium, Mr Bean playing Chariots of Fire,  Hey Jude being sung by Paul McCartney.  Here below is a picture of Jayne and Chris during Parade of Nations...

For me as Australian a proud moment was to see the Australian Olympic Team come in to the stadium. It's been 20 years since a woman carried the flag for Australia.
And Team GB sure didn't disappoint! Here they bring in end of the Parade of Nations

Jayne and Chris made an appearance down on the track with many of the other great Olympic Team GB legends.  Team GB Olympic Ambassadors for the London Games.

Today our favourite pair seem to be adventuring around London seeing some of the events and sites of the Olympics Games....

Coffee by the serpentine
Chris likes to travel in style or as in the case of the tweet -  incognito!

But today's event for well least Jayne is the Road Race. She is the at The Mall as I write this.

Late here so must be off to bed xx Goodnight!
