The greatest birthday party ever for Chris- Olympic Ceremony and Day 1

PARTY TIME!!!! WOO HOO!!
(27/7/12) Yesterday a great day for our two favourite skaters.... Chris' 54th Birthday and the Opening Ceremony of the London 2012 Olympic Game!

As Olympic Ambassadors for Team GB, Jayne and Chris were at the Opening Ceremony for the Games.  The first tweet of the day was from Jayne to Chris (strange when tweet each other using the same account!)  Jayne had organised a party for that night ;) lol!

Chris later on thanked everyone for all the birthday wishes we tweeted him....

Jayne and Chris tweeted a number of pictures throughout the night.....

Off to the Olympics- @torvillanddean
The Opening Ceremony was out of this world! A real party!!! What a day for Chris' Birthday to fall on.  Seems a few of you #TnDWorldFans and some of the athletes (I know 2 Aussie Athletes do! Water Polo and Hockey) share birthdays with Mr Dean.

"Inside" - @torvillanddean
The opening showed cased United Kingdom in all in its glory.  Going through its history from green meadows of the English country to the modern day era celebrating the music of Great Britain.

Jayne tweeted a picture of the birthday boy enjoying his party ;) lol -  "CHRIS enjoying the opening! Jx" @torvillanddean.  Seems like he was enjoying himself.  I wonder what it was like for Jayne and Chris to be there as Olympians.  It would bought back like great memories such as Chris carrying the British flag at the 1984 Winter Olympics Opening Ceremony

Thanks @buffycar for tweeting this! I couldn't find it x
A some of the highlights include the "Queen" jumping into the stadium, Mr Bean playing Chariots of Fire,  Hey Jude being sung by Paul McCartney.  Here below is a picture of Jayne and Chris during Parade of Nations...

For me as Australian a proud moment was to see the Australian Olympic Team come in to the stadium. It's been 20 years since a woman carried the flag for Australia.
And Team GB sure didn't disappoint! Here they bring in end of the Parade of Nations

Jayne and Chris made an appearance down on the track with many of the other great Olympic Team GB legends.  Team GB Olympic Ambassadors for the London Games.

Today our favourite pair seem to be adventuring around London seeing some of the events and sites of the Olympics Games....

Coffee by the serpentine
Chris likes to travel in style or as in the case of the tweet -  incognito!

But today's event for well least Jayne is the Road Race. She is the at The Mall as I write this.

Late here so must be off to bed xx Goodnight!

The Wonder twins hit the Olympics for TeamGB!

Hi Everyone!
Well our two favourite Olympians were off to the London Olympic Village today as part of their role as   Olympic ambassadors for TeamGB. Jayne and Chris were nice enough to show us how the day went by tweeting pictures of their day (@torvillanddean).

Jayne has got into the Olympic TeamGB spirit with her nail design....As Chris tweeted "Jayne has nailed it!"

The day before Jayne and Chris went to get their uniforms....
So here they are in their uniforms....all ready for the exciting day ahead.  They look great! I wonder if it bought memories back for them with their own three Olympic experiences?
Travelling to Olympic Site!!

Yes we know who they are, and now dressed the part! But like everyone else they still have to have the passes to get places around the Olympic Village and Site for security reasons!
The day was a beautiful English summer day and our favourite pair got to meet up with some other great Olympians and Team GB ambassadors such as Robin Cousins, Tessa Sanderson, Dame Kelly Holmes

With Dame Kelly Holmes, Tessa Sanderson, Robin Cousins and Olympic Mascot Wenlock.
Ah our favourite three DOI Olympic Ambassadors.

So there is now 2 days till the Opening Ceremony which Jayne and Chris are going to and it will be Chris' birthday.  What an amazing way to spend your day. Olympics in your own county!!

Keep following to see what Jayne and Chris get up to during the Olympics for Team GB!

It's back!!! and DOI goes gold!

Hi Everyone!

The blog is back!!! I've had crazy year this year with uni and work but now I am officially finished my degree and got a bit more time on my hands so the blog is back to stay, and great timing as well.

Dancing on Ice had it's Olympic Special : "Dancing on Ice goes Gold" tonight (UK time). It filmed just after the 2012 series.  Let me just say it so worth the 5am wake up to watch for me. All the Olympians extremely well for the short preparation time.   Jayne and Chris watched the show together,  tweeting us a pic before show started with Chris only just got back from being in the US with his two boys .

The Olympians involved came from a range of sports, all legends in what they do including Olga Korbut who won 6 Olympic medals in her time in Gymnastics .  Here is a pic of Olga with Jayne and Chris. It's was strange watching as an overseas fan as I'm not a supporter of TeamGB, I'm Team Aus.  But I still got a sense of pride watching these Olympians perform.  That's what is special about the Olympics, despite where we come from, it brings the world together for a moment in unity.

Jayne and Chris did breathtaking routine to Proud,  the routine was also performed on this years Dancing on Ice tour as well.  Let's say and I think you all agree TnDWorldFans that Jayne and Chris certainly did us proud!

A major highlight of the night was seeing Robin Cousins skate.  It's first time in 12 years since the Dancing on Ice head judge has performed in front of an audience on the ice!! He certainly wowed us fans with his routine to Paul McCartney's song Valentine. Totally inspiring!  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIMvnvfEvUw&feature=youtu.be

The night ended with Steve Williams (Rowing) and professional Katie Stainsby winning the gold with their routine to "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, such a well deserve win! But very close to Olga Korbut who came second with the silver.  The bronze position was sailer Pippa Wilson.

So the whole night was a perfect lead up to Olympics which start on Friday, funny enough Chris' birthday!! Jayne and Chris are Olympic ambassadors for the London Games so as Jayne mention when she was on This Morning recently with Robin that she and Chris will be at Opening Ceremony.

Jayne and Chris also a little while back got to be part of the Olympic Torch relay when  it was in Nottingham lighting the caldron at the end of that's day's relay.  Also Jayne and Chris earlier performed with the torch in an ice olympic gala at the National Ice Centre in Nottingham.

So we wish Chris an amazing birthday for Friday and we hope him and Jayne have a excellent time at the opening ceremony.

Write soon,
Kim xx
